Taking care of and preserving your art
For my drawings I make sure to use the highest quality paper and non-yellowing fixative to prevent smudging. The papers I use are thick enough to prevent wrinkling and bending. My materials are 100% acid-free to prevent any chance of yellowing.
Taking care of your art after receiving it
It is not neccessary to frame the drawings, but framing will ensure its longevity. Framing can be expensive so I make sure to draw on standard size papers to avoid paying for custom-made frames. Most standard size frames cost anywhere from $16.00 to $50.00 depending on he size and intricacy of the frame design. Drawings do not require fancy frames as they take away from the image. Just a simple black or silver frame will do. Also just a frameless glass can be used.
-Avoid direct sunlight when displaying your art, as this will yellow and dull the picture.
-Request the UV protectant glass. It can be ordered for standard size frames (optional).
-Handle the drawing paper only at the edges.
-Enjoy it!
I suggest Beard Frame Shop, as I frame all of my pieces with them.
