Portrait Drawing
My goal is to create portrait drawings of the outmost artistic quality and not merely the copy of the photo. It is important to capture the character and not just the facial features of the individual portrayed. You can only express so much with a photo. With a drawing you capture an entire character and make it eternal. What makes the piece of art more unique is that it is the original mark of the artist, thus it is higher in value. My speciality is human figure and figurative art in general. My belief is that a piece of art should contain both analytical and visual aspects and the response of the spectator both emotinal and mental.
I want to make sure that you recieve the highest quality piece of art for your price. I use only the best quality materials to ensure longevity and permanency of the picture. All drawings are done on high quality paper. I mostly draw in pencil and charcoal. This is the most organic way of art expression. It allows the most detail.
Examples of some of the drawings are available in my online gallery. It is up to you to decide the size, composition, and number of figures portrayed in the drawing. Prices vary accordingly. Click here for pricing and payment information. You send me the photo (with most detail, at least 5x7 in size), or digital files which you can e-mail me. You can contact me so I can help you answer any questions. I would also like to find out more about the person's character to help me capture it. You can choose between charcoal or a pencil portrait drawing. During the drawing process I will e-mail you the progressive drawings so you can make any suggestions. It is the most important to me that you are happy with the final product. You do not pay anything until the drawing is finished. You make a payment prior to me mailing you the finished piece. It will come in the special art envelope and between to foam core boards to protect it from damage. You will also recieve two print copies, an invoice, and certificate of authenticity. I will also include the art care instructions.
I will be happy to gift wrap it for you and include the gift note to make it more personalized.
